Ο τίτλος του, Vicious Little World, ένας καθρέφτης της εποχής, με τους ήχους και τους στίχους του να ερμηνεύουν την ένταση της καθημερινότητας μέσα από ένα πρίσμα εσωτερικής έντασης, σαρκασμού και υπόγειων χορευτικών ρυθμών.
Με έντονες επιρροές από το post punk, το avant funk των A Certain Ratio, την dub και τον ήχο του Manchester στο πρώτο μισό των 80s και με πιο ανοιχτές μελωδικές γραμμές σε σχέση με το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ, το Vicious Little World χτίζει μια ενιαία ατμόσφαιρα: ρυθμοί που παγιδεύουν, κιθάρες που διαπερνούν και φωνητικές γραμμές που στέκονται ανάμεσα στην ελπίδα και την ματαίωση.
Κυκλοφορεί ψηφιακά στις 13 Ιουνίου και σε βινύλιο στις 23 Ιουνίου από την Inner Ear.
Two years after their debut, Notowns return with a new, more mature and melodic album.
Its title, Vicious Little World, serves as a mirror of our times, with its sounds and lyrics interpreting the tension of everyday life through a lens of inner turmoil, sarcasm, and underground dance rhythms.
Strongly influenced by post-punk, the avant-funk of A Certain Ratio, dub, and the sound of Manchester in the early ’80s, and featuring more open melodic lines compared to their first album, “Vicious Little World” creates a unified atmosphere: captivating rhythms, piercing guitars, and vocal lines that stand somewhere between hope and disillusionment.
